Warm air and clear skies helped boost attendance at Mooseheart’s 9th Annual Easter Egg Hunt, which took place on Saturday on the campus’ football field. An estimated 4,000 attended the event, which has become a fixture on area calendars since its inception in 2011.
This year, 18,000 plastic eggs filled with candy, plush animals and other items were scattered across the artificial turf, though in a time-honored tradition, the hunt took less than five minutes to complete after the 11 a.m. start time.
Attendees were able to enjoy a number of activities in addition to the egg hunt. There were bounce houses, crafts and face painting in the Mooseheart Field House, in addition to free photos with the Easter Bunny.
South of the field house, activities children enjoyed included a petting farm and free pony rides.
