If you want to get a free photo with Santa Claus at Mooseheart’s 9th Annual Holiday Lights show, there are only four opportunities left!
Santa sits for photos this Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 15-16) in the middle weekend of three visits to the Holiday Lights. Santa’s visits are always popular, and his first weekend visit to Mooseheart saw throngs of children and their parents, eager to mail a letter to the North Pole or take a photo with Santa in the campus’ Field House.
Other Saturday-Sunday events in the Field House include a pair of bounce houses, the chance to have a face painting from a Mooseheart cosmetology student, crafts and snacks. Two new places to take photos – without Santa – are included this year. One is a sleigh and the other is a scene reminiscent of the movie “Frozen.”
The cost for all this family fun is the $10 per car admission to the Holiday Lights show, which includes dozens of displays over a 1.8-mile route through Mooseheart’s campus. Some familiar displays are still included in the show, but new displays have been added every year, including this year.
One of the largest holiday lights shows in Chicagoland, Mooseheart’s Holiday Lights show is open every day through Dec. 31 from 5-9 p.m. Santa’s visits begin at 5:30 p.m. and the line will be shut at 8:30 p.m., with those in line at 8:30 still allowed to see Santa.
Santa returns one final time Dec. 22-23, though the show continues through New Year’s Eve. One hundred percent of proceeds go to support Mooseheart. For details on the Holiday Lights show, visit the news section at www.mooseheart.org or call 630-966-2200.
Mooseheart is located 2 miles north of I-88 on the west side of Illinois Route 31.
