Several hundred Moose men and women from Wisconsin came south to Mooseheart Child City & School on Saturday, Dec. 6 for the 45th annual Wisconsin Tree Lighting festivities.
Despite the fact that winter was still two weeks away, the weather for the event was an appropriately wintry snow cover on the ground with temperatures in the 20s.
Every December since 1964, Wisconsin Moose have been treated to a concert or pageant by Mooseheart students in the House of God, then have headed out to the church's front lawn at dusk to officially switch on the Child City's official Christmas Tree for the season.

Among those joining him during the ceremony were other officers of the Wisconsin Moose Association (including Secretary Roy Weyker and Regional Manager Gary Beck); Mooseheart Executive Director Scott Hart; Director General William B. Airey; Supreme Governor James J. Gallagher; and Mooseheart Board member Mark Penzkover -- who serves as Tree Lighting Chairman for the Wisconsin Moose Association.

Mooseheart's children and their caregivers joined with Moose members from Wisconsin during the Mooseheart band concert in the House of God Saturday afternoon, Dec. 6, before the 45th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the House of God's front lawn.

Saturday's holiday presentation in the House of God featured Mooseheart's band and instrumental ensembles -- featuring this flute trio of Abraham Mazon, Ethan Grasty and Cami D'Andrea.
