Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman

MOOSEHEART, IL - You may have seen Duane "Dog" Chapman on TV, where his No. 1-rated "Dog the Bounty Hunter" program on A&E is not only a hit, but has helped propel Chapman's larger-than-life persona into living rooms across North America. However, there is another side to Chapman's life -- an element that is the result of a life of tragedies and triumphs, but most of all devotion to his Lord.

Chapman is going to share his life story twice in April at Mooseheart Child City & School, in a pair of concerts that will combine a rare chance to hear Chapman speak with a rare glimpse of his wife Beth -- plus the opportunity to listen to some of the hottest Christian rock bands playing today.

The concerts, part of The Rush Tour, take place Friday and Saturday, April 11-12 at the Mooseheart Fieldhouse. The two evenings will feature different concert experiences. April 11 is Family Night, starting at 7 p.m., while April 12 will be Rock Night, beginning at 6 p.m.

Tickets for the concerts are $22 for general admission seats Friday and Saturday, $12 for children on Family Night, and $12 for students on Rock Night. Tickets go on sale beginning at 9 a.m. CST on Friday, Feb. 8, at www.therushtour.com.

Chapman will speak for 45 minutes each evening, and there will be music from a variety of bands each night. Chapman is fully aware of Mooseheart's history and mission, and looks forward to discussing its positive impact on young people's lives during both concerts.

Duane "Dog the Bounty Hunter" Chapman was catapulted into worldwide fame following his apprehension of Andrew Luster, the Max Factor heir, who fled to Mexico following his 124-year sentence for serial rape. For Chapman's pursuit and capture of Luster in Mexico, he found himself entwined in years of legal issues with the Mexican government. These legal problems for Chapman were officially resolved Feb. 1 by a unanimous decision of three Mexican judges who dropped the threat of extradition for Chapman back to Mexico.

Chapman is no stranger to conflict, and life problems. His life story is one of hardship, dysfunction, and rebellion that eventually landed him in jail for murder at a very young age. His story, however, is one of deliverance out of all kinds of destructive behaviors, evil influences, and emotional turmoil. "Dog" will speak from his heart about his life, tragedies, triumphs, and faith. This is a chance to get to know the man behind the TV persona in this extremely rare personal appearance.

Among the bands scheduled to appear are Echoing Angels, Emery, Inhabited, Flatfoot 56 and Will Duvall. Echoing Angels, Inhabited and Will Duvall will perform on Friday's Family Night, set to start at 7 p.m.; all bands except Echoing Angels will perform on Rock Night, Saturday, scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

Will Duvall is an emerging presence, whose song "Teach Us To Love" will be released this summer. Inhabited brings the arching vocals of Sara Acker to hit songs like "One More Night" and current hit "Hush."

Echoing Angels began to get airplay with 2006 single "You Alone" and released an album by the same name that year. "Coming Back to Life", off the same album, has received significant airplay on top Christian music stations.

Brothers Tobin Bawinkel, Justin Bawinkel and Kyle Bawinkel join Josh Robinson in Flatfoot 56, a band that plays Christian Punk. Their sound includes bagpipes for a very original Celtic sound.

One of the hottest bands on tour, Emery's song "World Away" became a massive hit. Their third album "I'm Only a Man" was released in October and is climbing the charts. Originally Seattle-based, the band now lives in various parts of the country, including Illinois, which is home to vocal-bassist Devin Shelton.
